PEOPLE 1 was formed in 2019 by Tokyo-based musician Deu (vocal, guitar, bass) with Takeuchi (drums) and Ito (vocal, guitar). They recently provided the Chainsaw Man TV anime's tenth episode ending theme song "DOGLAND," whose music video has over 10 million views for the first time in their career.

Their first CD single song "GOLD" was newly written with the theme of "courage" and "kindness" in response to the world view of the Ranking of Kings anime. The music video was directed by GROUPN, who has worked on many of PEOPLE 1's most well-known songs, including "Kaiju," "Ju no Buhin," and "DOGLAND." The drama-style clip stars Tamaki Michigami, one of the members of Dow 9000, an eight-member comedy unit, as her first music video appearance.
