The 58th annual Nebula Awards were held this past weekend by the Science Fiction Writers Association to celebrate the best in science fiction and fantasy writing, and the event wasn't short on surprises, namely the meme of the moment.
In another suprise win under the game writing category, smash hit role playing game Elden Ring—which was written by Hidetaka Miyazaki of developer FromSoftware with contributions from Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin—was the recipient of the Nebula Award For Game Writing, beating out Horizon: Forbidden West, Journeys through the Radiant Citadel, Pentiment, Stray and Vampire: The Masquerade - Sins of the Sires.
