Frieren: Beyond Journey's End TV Anime Reveals New Character VIsuals

A journey of even a thousand years begins with a single step, and now a new character setting (above) and a new special visual (below) have been revealed for Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, an upcoming TV anime based on the fantasy manga about an immortal elf who outlives her adventuring companions.

Written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, the original Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. An English language version is also available from Viz Media, who describe the story of the series as follows:

 

Elf mage Frieren and her courageous fellow adventurers have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. But Frieren will long outlive the rest of her former party. How will she come to understand what life means to the people around her?

 

The Frieren: Beyond Journey's End TV anime is directed by Keiichiro Saito and features animation production by MADHOUSE. The series is scheduled to broadcast in Japan on the Nippon TV network beginning in fall of 2023.
