Rie Kugimiya Joins Summer Time Rendering as Mysterious Girl Shiori

The official website for the ongoing TV anime adaptation of Yasuki Tanaka's supernatural mystery manga Summer Time Rendering announced today that Rie Kugimiya (Kagura in Gintama, Momo Nishimiya in JUJUTSU KAISEN) is cast as Shiori Kobayakawa, a third grade elementary school girl with a secret.

The site introduces the character as (spoiler alert!): "She is a third grader living with her parents who run the supermarket KobaMart on Hitogashima. A few days after she told that she saw someone who looked exactly like her, she drowned while swimming in the sea, and Ushio, who tried to save her, also lost her life. The girl is the 'shadow' Shiori, who killed the real Shiori and took her place."

Kugimiya said of her character, "She may look like a little girl, but I enjoy playing her in a bizarre sort of way, in keeping with the thrilling mood of the story! Please enjoy it to the end!"
