Rookie Voice Actress Hazuki Senda Makes Singer Debut with Zoids Wild ZERO ED Song

It is confirmed today that rookie voice actress Hazuki Senda will make her singer debut from Dentsu Music and Entertainment with "Hikari" ( Lights ) , the ED theme for the TV anime Zoids Wild ZERO . The song is produced by Takamistu Shimazaki , known for his producing works for SMAP, A.B.C-Z, Hey! Say! Sump,  AKB48, SKE48, and other Japanese idol groups.    Senda is cast as the anime's main heroine Sally Land, and it is her anime voice acting debut role. She is also an active university student now. She says, "I have just debuted as a voice actor, and I will also make my singer debut! I have had nothing but surprises, and it hasn't hit me yet. I really appreciate for this wonderful opportunity! I don't have any experience in singing, but I did my best to sing with all of my heart, so I would be happy if you could listen to it! Lyrical Nanoha Franchise Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Special Illustration and Messages from Two Main VAs

    To commemorate its 15th anniversary, an official portal site for the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise is opened  with a newly-drawn memorial illustration today on October 1, 2019. Its 13-episode first TV anime series started airing in Japan just 15 years ago from today, October 1, 2004. Voice Actress Yui Ogura Surrounded by Laser Thread in Her New MV "Destiny"

    The official YouTube channel for 24-year-old anime voice actress Yui Ogura has started streaming a three-minute music video for her 10th single song "Destiny" to be released on October 30, 2019. The rock tune will be featured as the OP theme for the fall 2019 TV anime Z/X Code reunion , in which she is also cast as its protagonist Azumi Kagamihara.   The clip features Ogura's performance with a cool expression in the laser light that expresses the theme of the song, "thread of fate." Japan Box Office: Kaguya-sama Live-Action Film Continues Successful Run, Surpassing 1.7 Billion Yen

  Surpassing expectations drastically, the live-action film adaptation of Aka Akasaka's romantic comedy manga Kaguya-sama: Love Is War  has continued its successful theatrical run in Japan. It has kept second position even in its fourth weekend with 130 million yen on 10,600 admissions, bringing its domestic cume over 1.74 billion yen.     At the stage greeting event to thank the film's success, both of the film's two leading stars, Sho Hirano (Miyuki Shirogane) and Kanna Hashimoto (Kaguya Shinomiya) expressed their desire for a sequel, according to Eiga.com's report on September 27.   Hirano said, "Everyone's love is too big! I'm so glad. I hope this become an opportunity to make a sequel. Nothing has been decided yet, but the manga has been still running. If your love is big enough, it may continue to the next." Shawn Layden Departs Sony Interactive Entertainment

From producer of software development to president of Japan's studio, Shawn Layden has worn many hats in his decades of working at Sony. His latest role was chairman of SIE's worldwide studios, and that will apparently be his last at Sony, at least for the time being. Sony announced today on Twitter that Layden was leaving the company. " It is with great emotion that we announce that Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden will be departing SIE," the tweet reads." His visionary leadership will be greatly missed. We wish him success in future endeavors and are deeply grateful for his years of service. Thanks for everything, Shawn!" The first downloadable content pack for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is out now. Marvel Knights: Curse of the Vampire adds four popular characters to the game's already-massive roster of playable heroes. The pack is out now as a part of the title's Expansion Pass. Curse of the Vampire adds Punisher, Blade, Moon Knight, and Morbius to fight alongside the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and more. Those who purchased the Expansion Pass can also play a new mode: Gauntlet. In Gauntlet mode, you can join a team of four co-op players to tackle challenges one after the other to earn rewards. Belldandy Tries Out For a Black Company in Bizarre Manga Cross-Over

  Did you know that there's an entire  Oh My Goddess!  spin-off manga (entitled  Oh My Job Hunting Goddess! ) about Belldandy trying to find a job to help out the finances of the Morisato family? Well, there is, and in the latest issue of Kodansha's  Weekly Young Magazine , Belldandy interviews for a position with the infamous Teiai Group in a comic cross-over with  Mr. TONEGAWA Middle Management Blues !     Oh My Job Hunting Goddess!  is written by U-hei Aoki and features artwork by Kimuchi Yoshizuki with assistance by Kōsuke Fujishima, the author of the original  Oh My Goddess!  manga. The unlikely cross-over takes place in the 44th issue of the 2019 print run of  Weekly Young Magazine , which was published in Japan on September 30, 2019.   The  Mr. TONEGAWA Middle Management Blues  manga, which is written by Tensei Hagiwara and illustrated by Tomohiro Hashimoto and Tomoko Miyoshi, is also published by Kodansha, although it now runs in  Comic Days  rather than  Young

Studio Ghibli Producer Discusses Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind Kabuki Stage Play

  The Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind anime film is one of the many greats from Hayao Miyazaki, who created the original story ias a manga in 1979 to appease Toshio Suzuki, who was a producer at Animage at the time. 40 years on, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is being adapted into a kabuki play to run in Tokyo from December 6 to 25.   In a press conference about the performance, Suzuki, who has been working as a producer at Studio Ghibli since the films production, discussed the studio’s involvement with the kabuki play and how it came about.     “A kabuki play is easier than a film production, because we (Studio Ghibli) are providing the original work, we are in a position to rely (on others to do the works),” Suzuki joked at the conference. Suzuki also discussed Hayao Miyazaki’s thoughts on the project, who exclaimed “let’s do it” when presented with the idea of Onoe Kikunosuke V adapting Princess Mononoke into kabuki, thinking Miyazaki would reject it.   Dragon Quest of the Stars is a mobile RPG take on the franchise that launched in Japan back in October of 2015, and now it's heading toward a more global release .
