Mahjong Soul Hooks Up with Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic- for New Collab

We're just a day away from the debut of a new collaboration in online mahjong game Mahjong Soul, and this one has it teaming up with the Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic- anime. With the new season of the adaptation underway, there's no better way to celebrate in between episodes, and players will be able to dive in after maintenance is complete on April 26.

The event will run until May 17, and will feature new Jyanshi inspired by Kaguya Shinomiya, Miyuki Shirogane, Ai Hayasaka and Kei Shirogane. There will also be new themed outfits as well as new Decorations and Special Effects available while the event is live.

Mahjong Soul debuted in Japan as a browser game in 2019 after its initial Chinese release in 2018, with the global release being announced in April 2019. The game also featured a tie in with Ritz Kobayashi's Saki manga and the Kakegurui series.

 

The anime, titled Mahjong Soul Pon, is produced by SCOOTER FILMS with Anime-Gataris and BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! director Kenshirō Morii handling series direction. You can stream it right now on Crunchyroll.
