The Eminence in Shadow 2nd Season Trailer Reveals October 2023 Premiere

New rivals gather beneath a blood-red moon in a dramatic new preview video for the upcoming second season of The Eminence in Shadow, an ongoing TV anime based on the dark fantasy light novel series written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by Touzai. The new trailer also announced the second season will premiere beginning in October 2023, consisting of 12 episodes.

Mary voiced by Ai Kakuma (Runa Sasaki in My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999)

The Eminence in Shadow light novel series has been published in Japan by Enterbrain since November 2018, and a manga version with illustration by Anri Sakano beginning in December 2018. Yen Press releases both the English language version of the light novel and manga. The TV anime features Kazuya Nakanishi directing with animation production by Nexus and aired between October 2022 to February 2023. HIDIVE currently streams the first season of The Eminence in Shadow and describes the story:

 

When Cid is isekai’d to another world, he creates an underground organization to live out a fight against a made-up cult. Little does he know the cult is real, and they’re not happy his power fantasy just impeded their plans!
