Godzilla, Evangelion, Ultraman, and Kamen Rider to Collaborate in Shin Japan Heroes Universe Project

Shin Japan Heroes Universe, a collaboration project between the four films that Hideaki Anno has aprticipated in - Shin Godzilla, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time (Shin Evangelion in Japan), Shin Ultraman, and Shin Kamen Rider, has launched. The project's official website has opened with a main visual newly drawn by Mahiro Maeda (see above).

This dream project is launched by Toho, khara, Tsuburaya Productions, and Toei, transcending the boundaries of the companies, because of the connection with the films bearing the name "Shin" in its title. Starting with Shin Godzilla (Anno served as screenplay writer and general director) in 2016, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time (planning, original story, writer, and general director) was released in 2021. Then Shin Ultraman (planning, writer) is set to be released on May 13, 2022, and Shin Kamen Rider (writer, director) will follow in March 2023.

A wide range of events and projects, including merchandising, are being planned for future, and more information will be announced on the official website soon.

The project's emblem was designed by acclaimed mecha designer Yutaka Izubuchi:
