JUJUTSU KAISEN Spreads Its Cursed Energy Power to 55 Million Manga Readers

JUJUTSU KAISEN

While the anime for JUJUTSU KAISEN might be on break until the prequel JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 film premieres in Japanese cinemas on December 24, the manga continues to roll on, with the next volume of the Gege Akutami-created series scheduled to be released on October 4. Today, we got updated series print run totals for the series as a whole, and the first run of the volume itself ahead of its release.

On a whole, when volume 17 releases on October 4, the JUJUTSU KAISEN manga had 55 million copies printed (physically) and sold (digitally). The overall figure includes the first printing of the next volume, which has a series record of a 2.5 million first printing copy print run. This is the biggest print run for a Weekly Shonen Jump series after One Piece's 4.05 million copy print run for its 67th volume, and Demon Slayer's print run of 3.95 million copies for its last volume.
