Japanese Fans Rank Which Fall 2021 Late-Night Anime They’re Most Excited For

Komi Can’t Communicate

With the Fall 2021 anime season upon us within the next few weeks, Japanese ranking site Goo Ranking polled over 10,000 Japanese anime fans on what late-night anime series they’re looking forward to in the coming weeks. A lot of sequels and second cours for anime populated the list, as does adaptations of already popular works with the only original series on the top 10 list being Shikizakura.

Just a note, Crunchyroll did not create the poll or partake in it, we’re just as interested in what Japanese anime fans think as you are!

86 EIGHTY-SIX

Out of the full list of 44 shows, here is the top 10:

10. World Trigger Season 3

9. Komi Can’t Communicate

8. Ranking of Kings

7. 86 EIGHTY-SIX part 2

6. Lupin the Third PART 6

5. Let's Make a Mug Cup Too Season 2

4. Shikizakura

3. Restaurant to Another World season 2

Shareef and Ranner enjoy a taste of their frozen ice cream desserts in a scene from the upcoming Restaurant to Another World 2 TV anime.

2. Kyoukai Senki

1. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation part 2

Mushoku Tensei

What is interesting about the list is that the next two arcs of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba don’t appear at all, which would make sense as they were only confirmed on September 25 – the poll ended on September 23. I could imagine that Demon Slayer would populate the top spot if it were confirmed at the time.
