Mobile RPG KING's RAID to Get TV Anime Adaptation This Fall

A TV anime adaptation of VESPA's mobile game for iOS/Android, KING's RAID, is now in the works under the title KING's RAID: Ishi wo Tsugu Monotachi / KING's RAID: Successors of the Will for a premiere in the fall of 2020. The anime's official website has opened with its image visual and a two-minute first PV. The real-time 3D battle RPG was released in September 2016 and has surpassed 13 million downloads worldwide.

The TV anime will tell an original story that is different from the game. Its story is set in the continent called Orbis, a land of swords and magic. 100 years have passed since King Kyle defeated the Demon Lord Angmund, and the protagonist Kasel, who is an apprentice knight, has lived in a peaceful time. However, his fate begins to change when he learns that a monster has appeared in his neighborhood. Guided by a wise man and having a reliable companion, he embarks on an adventure to seek the sealed holy sword.

Makoto Hoshino (Uta no Prince-sama series) is attached to direct the anime adaptation, alongside series composition writer Megumi Shimizu (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) and anime character designer/chief animation director Tatsuya Arai (BanG Dream!, Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs episode animation director). OLM and SUNRISE BEYOND co-work on anime production. The game's four main voice cast below will reprise their roles in the anime as well.
