The latest installment in mecha-fantasy anime Mashin Hero Wataru is premiering next month, and it's time for a fresh look at the characters and mecha starring in the series!
A new key visual depicts Wataru, the young hero from our world who returns to the platformer-style world of Soukaizan with his trusty robot, Ryujinmaru. Also in the image are returning characters Shibaraku, Himiko, and Torao. Behind them is rainbow-tinted imagery of the inverted Soukaizan at the core of the upcoming series.
The first episode will premiere live on the BANDAI SPIRITS YouTube channel April 10 at 9pm JST. Episodes 2-4 will come to the channel bi-weekly following the premiere, with the last five episodes kicking off in September.
Mashin Hero Wataru: Ryujinmaru of the Seven Souls brings back the 1988 series, about a schoolboy transported to a fantasy world to become its hero. In the new series, along with the inverted world of Soukaizan, Wataru and his friends will be confronted with the splitting of Ryujinmaru into seven new robots.
