BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. Anime Sequel Gets a Green Light

 

 

Three days after the broadcast of its final 12th episode in Japan, the official website for the TV anime adaptation of Yuumikan's light novel Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. / BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. announced today that its sequel gets a green light. At this time, it is not confirmed yet whether it will be the TV anime's second season or something else.

 

The anime's official Twitter has posted a special illustration to celebrtae the announcement newly drawn by the novel illustrator/original charcater deisgner Koin.

 

 

 

  

Shin Onuma (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya) and Mirai Minato (Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou) co-directed the TV anime adaptation, alongside series composition writer Fumihiko Shimo (How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?) and character design/chief animation director Kazuya Hirata (Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou) at SILVER LINK. (ORESUKI Are you the only one who loves me?). It was aired for 12 episodes in Japan from January 8 to March 25, 2020.

 

The first DVD/Blu-ray volume including its first four episodes was already released on March 25. The second and third volume will follow on April 24 and May 27.
