Kuroneko to Have Her Own Heroine Story in Oreimo Novel's "if" Series

The official Twitter for Tsukasa Fushimi's Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai and Eromanga Sensei light novel series has posted a cover illustration for the first volume of the former's "Kuroneko if" story to be released in Japan on September 10, 2020. Of course, it is newly drawn by the novel's original illustrator Hiro Kanzaki.

The "if" series was launched to tell each heroine's happy ending story with Kyousuke Kousaka. Six years after its main series ended in June 2013, the Oreimo novel author Fushimi started working on a novelization of the Ayase Aragaki route in the PSP game Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai Portable released in 2011. As the 13th volume of the series, the first volume of the "Ayase if" story was published on August 10, 2019, and the second and final volume followed on June 10, 2020. In addition to the two-volume "Kuroneko if" story, the "Kanako if" story featuring Kanako Kurusu has been also in the works.

According to the tweet, unlike "Ayase if," the upcoming "Kuroneko if" is a new story with Kuroneko, which is different from her route in the PSP game. The @kuroneko_daten Twitter account wrote in June, its first volume is about a summer vacation of Kuroneko, Kyousuke, and the other members of the Game Study Club, as well as the Akagi brother and sister.
