Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear TV Anime Delivers Unbearably Polite Summer Wishes

A summer greeting key visual for the upcoming Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear TV anime, featuring Yuna and Fina enjoying bear-shaped confections while Kumayuru and Kumakyuu laze about on a sunny hillside.

Although Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, a TV anime based on the series of isekai fantasy light novels written by Kumanano and illustrated by 029 about a girl who ends up in fantasy world clad in an adorable and over-powered bear costume, doesn't begin bearing its secrets in Japan until the fall season, the series has published a new key visual to offer its fans pleasant wishes in the summer.

The new visual (above) features Yuna and Fina enjoying a bear-shaped snack while Kumayuru and Kumakyuu relax in the sunshine, and it features the words "wishing you the absolute best in the summertime" written in Japanese in an extremely polite format.

The original Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear light novels are published in Japan by Shufu to Seikatsu-sha, and an English language version of the series is also being published by Seven Seas Entertainment, who describe the story as follows:

Fifteen-year-old Yuna prefers staying home and obsessively playing her favorite VRMMO to doing anything else, including going to school. When a strange new update gives her a one-of-a-kind bear outfit that comes with overpowered abilities, Yuna is torn: the outfit is unbearably cute, but too embarrassing to wear in-game. But then she suddenly finds herself transported to a world like the game, facing down monsters and magic for real, and the bear suit becomes the best weapon she has!

A new key visual for the upcoming Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear TV anime, featuring the main cast playing in front of a bear-shaped house.

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear is directed by Yuu Nobuta and features animation production by EMT Squared. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in October of 2020.

(The bear puns will continue until morale improves.)
