i☆Ris Member Yuuki Wakai Stars in Original Short Anime "She Sings, as If It were Destiny"

 

 

The official website for the six-member voice actress idol group i☆Ris announced today that its 24-year-old member Yuuki Wakai voices the protagonist Kanade in an original short anime Kanojo wa Utau, Dakara Boku wa. / She Sings, as If It were Destiny. Under the artist name Yuuki, she wrote, composed, and sang the anime's theme song, and also composed most of its soundtrack music.

 

i☆Ris was formed by the six winners of the 1st Anison Vocal Audition held by avex and 81 Produce in August 2012. While performing as a member of one of the most popular anime voice actress units, Wakai has voiced Reona West in PriPara (2014-2017) and its sequel Idol Time PriPara (2017-2018), Itsuki Sumeragi in Kakegurui (2017-2019), Mai Tadakusa in Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki (2019-2020), and Sara Midorikawa in the ongoing Kiratto☆PriChan (2018-).

 

This short anime was produced by avex technologies remotely using its next-generation animation production tool AniCast Maker, which allows you to create animations by placing characters and cameramen freely in the VR space and acting in their avatars. Under the direction by Nobukazu Sakai, who serves as the original story writer, director, and producer at the adult PC game brand minori, it was created by six main staff members in about two months.
