One of the hardest things fans had to comes to terms with during the break up between acclaimed video game director Hideo Kojima and Konami was the loss of the in-production Silent Hills, which saw Kojima team up with horror manga creator Junji Ito and Academy Award-winning director Guillermo del Toro. Instead, Kojima went on to create the "strand" game Death Stranding, with Ito and del Toro going their separate ways (though having appearances in Death Stranding).
Until now. During an interview with Viz Media during Comic-Con@Home, Junji Ito hinted at another potential collaboration between Hideo Kojima and himself, explaining – through his translator, Junko Goda – "So, the simple answer is no. However, I do know director Kojima and we have been in conversation that he might have a horror-based game that he may be doing, and so he has invited me to work on that, but there are no details on it yet."

Kojima has hinted over the past year through tweets that he's watching horror films for inspiration "as to make the scariest horror game." Though this doesn't 100% confirm that Ito and Kojima are working on a horror game together, or if it'll be based off Silent Hills, but I'd bet my spine something coming.
