GRIDMAN UNIVERSE Anime Film Gets MX4D Screening from June 30

 

The MX4D screening of the anime feature film GRIDMAN UNIVERSE, which has been in theaters since March 24, will begin in 14 theaters across Japan on June 30. MX4D is a 4D film presentation system that allows a film to be screened with various effects, such as seat motion, odors, and humidity.

GRIDMAN UNIVERSE is a crossover film between TRIGGER's two TV anime series inspired by Tsuburaya Productions' 1993 live-action tokusatsu TV drama Denkou Choujin Gridman / Gridman the Hyper AgentSSSS.GRIDMAN in 2018 and SSSS.DYNAZENON in 2021. The 118-minute film has earned an estimated 700 million yen (5 million USD) from its domestic run so far.

 

Exclusive bonus items for the MX4D screening will be distributed to theatergoers for three consecutive weeks. The first-week item is an A4-size clear poster featuring Yomogi Asanaka and Yume Minami from SSSS.DYNAZENON, newly drawn by the character designer, Masaru Sakamoto.
