The story of Oshiete Hokusai! THE ANIMATION follows Tenkorin Okakura, a high school girl who longs to be a great painter one day even though she lacks any motivation, talent, or study skills. One day, the thunder god Raijin from the famous "Wind God and Thunder God" Edo period folding screen painting appears before Tenkorin and offers to help her achieve her dreams of becoming an artist. By traveling through time and meeting famous figures in Japanese art history, can Tenkorin make her dreams come true?
