The IDOLM@STER franchise's official YouTube channel has started streaming a 60-second "interlude" clip for the forthcoming advance theatrical run of The IDOLM@STER Million Live! TV anime. The clip will be shown in the Shochiku Multiplex Theaters' 26 theaters in Japan from today, June 16, before the screening of films.
In addition to introducing the anime's opening theme song "Rat A Tat!!!," the short clip shows the three main characters of the anime: Mirai Kasuga (CV: Haruka Yamazaki), Shizuka Mogami (Azusa Tadokoro), and Tsubasa Ibuki (Machico), talking about their dreams.
The 12-episode TV anime project based on the The Idolm@ster Million Live! game series was announced back in July 2020 and is set to premiere in October 2023. Prior to the TV premiere, it plans advance theatrical screenings for three chapters in Japan — the first chapter on August 18, the second chapter on September 8, and the third chapter on September 29.
Shirogumi (revisions, STAND BY ME Doraemon) works on anime production, and Shinya Watada (Aikatsu Stars! The Movie, Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE) is attached to direct, alongside series composition/script writer Yoichi Kato (Aikatsu!, Yo-kai Watch).
