Okashiratsuki. was serialized in Coamix's Monthly Zenon from 2018 to 2020, then compiled in four volumes, printing 150,000 copies so far. The story begins with an encounter between a boy, Kaisei Utsumi, who has been bullied because he has a pig-like tail, and a girl, Nachi Hiyama, who tries to be close to him. This is Sahara's second work to be adapted into live-action, following My Girl, whose live-action TV drama adaptation aired in Japan in 2009. Actor/director Mikiya Sanada is attached to direct on a screenplay by Satoko Okazaki (Meiji Tokyo Renka)
