ATLUS has finally taken the wraps off of the latest game to be developed by the company's Studio Zero, with the official reveal of Metaphor: ReFantazio during this afternoon's Xbox Games Showcase.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is a new fantasy RPG featuring the involvement of former Persona team members in director Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro. The game was previously known under the codename Project ReFantasy and ATLUS describes the game:
Write your destiny and rise above fear as you step into a fantasy world unlike anything you've seen before. Fraught with unsettling mystery, the kingdom stands on a precipice. Now, you must embark on a journey, overcoming obstacles and forging bonds with friends.
More details regarding the game will be released in a livestream being held via YouTube on June 20, and the game is slated for a release in 2024 on Windows PC and the Xbox Series of consoles. An official site has been opened along with official social channels for additional updates, linked below.
