After the spring 2022 TV anime Ya Boy Kongming! reached its climax last week, a full music video for its opening theme song "Chikichiki Banban" was finally posted on YouTube on June 28.
"Chikichiki Banban" was performed by the special music unit QUEENDOM, consisting of hibiki and moca from lol, Akina and Taki from FAKY, and Maria Kaneya from GENIC. It is a cover version of the original song "Ciki Ciki Bam Bam" by Hungarian singer Jolly-Bulikirály released in 2013. QUEENDOM's cover version was released digitally in Japan on May 20, then peaked at #4 in Oricon's weekly digital single chart.
As reported, the anime's opening movie featuring the song has already surpassed ten million views on YouTube. There had been many comments on YouTube and social networking sites requesting a music video by QUEENDOM themselves, and the much-awaited video was finally released. The video has an impact with a loud, party-like worldview that makes viewers start dancing just by looking at it.
