The second cour of ORIENT, an ongoing TV anime based on the manga by Shinobu Ohtaka about samurai who battle demons during the Sengoku Period, kicks off its Japanese broadcast in July and now a dramatic new key visual has been published for the series.

The original ORIENT manga is serialized in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine, and an English language version is also available from Kodansha Comics. Crunchyroll describes the story of ORIENT as follows:
During the Warring States era, the feuding generals were suddenly struck down one after another by the demonic Kishin. In the 150 years since, groups of individuals have continued to resist Kishin control. They are called Bushi bands. When they were young, Musashi and Kojiro would hear tales about the Bushi from Kojiro's father, and the two of them dream to form the strongest Bushi band. One day, as Musashi struggles with his choices, he witnesses humans being torn apart by oni. Forced to face the truth, Musashi rises up against the powerful oni to make his dream with Kojiro come true!

The ORIENT TV anime is directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa and features animation production by A.C.G.T.. The second cour of the series will begin broadcasting in Japan on TV Tokyo beginning on July 11, 2022, and the series will also continue streaming on Crunchyroll as part of the summer 2022 anime simulcast lineup.
