Some quick news for fans of crime drama and suspense: My Home Hero, a seinen manga Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki about an ordinary salaryman who finds himself drawn into the criminal underworld after a series of events go horribly wrong, is being adapted into a TV anime.
So far, no further details (such as the cast, the crew, or the release date) have yet been revealed about the production.
My Home Hero is serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine. The series follows Tetsuo Tosu, a middle-aged salaryman who becomes embroiled in the criminal underworld after he confronts and accidentally kills his college-age daughters abusive gangster boyfriend. Backed into a corner, Tetsuo will use any means at his disposal to protect his family.
