"MANKAI STAGE A3!" is a stage play adaptation series based on LIBER Entertainment's popular mobile card collecting game, A3!, which has been downloaded more than seven million times since its launch in January 2017. The stage play's first show was performed in June 2018, and the series has continued to be well received as one of the most successful so-called 2.5-dimensional plays.
It is officially announced today that two live-action films featuring the stage play's actors are now in the works. The first film "MANKAI MOVIE A3! ~SPRING & SUMMER~" is scheduled to be released in December 2021, then the second film "MANKAI MOVIE A3! ~AUTUMN & WINTER~" will follow in 2022. Kenji Kurata (Bad Moon Rising, Indigo Children) is attached to direct on his own screenplay. The stage play's writer and director, Shinjiro Kameda and Fumiya Matsuzaki support the film's production as the supervisors.
