Actress Kana Kurashina Makes Guest Voice Appearance in The Seven Deadly Sins Film as The Supreme Deity

The official website for the forthcoming film The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light announced today that 33-year-old actress Kana Kurashina (Akari Kawamoto in March Comes in Like a Lion live-action films) will make a guest voice appearance as the Supreme Deity. While she voiced Bela in the short TV anime series Oretacha Yokai Ningen in 2017-2018, this is the first time she has participated in an animated film.

The Supreme Deity is the mother of the main heroine, Elizabeth Liones, and the one who put the curse of "eternal life" on her. Kurashina says, "I've checked both of The Seven Deadly Sins anime and manga, and it's like a dream come true that I could be a part of that world! When I was offered the job, I jumped for joy unbecoming my age. I was just so happy at first, but as time went by, I have been under a lot of pressure. Since I'll be working with wonderful voice actors, I try to keep in mind not to destroy the worldview when I participate in the recording session!"

Also, two Japanese comedians, Akira Kawashima (Kirin) and Yusuke Inoue (NON STYLE) will join the film as two demon gods who serve Zeldris, one of the Ten Commandments and Meliodas' younger brother. The two characters are newly designed by The Seven Deadly Sins original manga author Nakaba Suzuki based on them.

The all-new feature film The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed by Light, which tells an original sequel story to the TV anime series, is set to be released in Japan on July 2, 2021.
