DEEMO THE MOVIE was expected to be released near the end of 2020, but due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it was pushed back. Today at the stage for DEEMO at AnimeJapan 2021, the musical CG anime film got a new title DEEMO THE MOVIE: Sakura no Oto -I Still Hear The Sound of Your Piano-. To celebrate a bunch of character art for the film was released alongside a new trailer.

DEEMO THE MOVIE: Sakura no Oto -I Still Hear The Sound of Your Piano- is coming soon to Japanese theaters with a global release planned. Junichi Fujisaku (BLOOD+) serves as general director for the SIGNAL.MD and Production I.G's co-production film, alongside director Shuhei Matsushita (YU-NO：A girl who chants love at the bound of this world assistant director).
