Prior to the broadcast of the final 13th episode of its ongoing TV anime second season in Japan tonight, the official website for the anime adaptation project based on Afro's slice-of-life manga series Laid-Back Camp announced that its forthcoming feature film is set to be released in 2022.
All of the main staff of the previous series, including director Yoshiaki Kuogoku, screenplay writer Jin Tanaka and Mutsumi Ito, and character designer Mutsumi Sasaki are confirmed to return. C-station will also again work on anime production.
To commemorate the announcement of the release date, a concept visual using a part of the image board drawn by director Kyogoku is posted on the web.
Rie Takahashi, who has voiced Ena Saito in the anime, says on Twitter that this is not an April Fool's joke.
