Evangelion's Rei Ayanami Life-Size Figure Retails for About 2 Million Yen

The fourth and final film in the Rebuild of Evangelion series was recently released in Japan, and to celebrate the master model-makers at F:NEX are offering a life-size, 1:1 scale figure of Eva pilot Rei Ayanami for fans with money to burn.

The life-size Rei Ayanami 1:1 Scale Figure is planned to be constructed of FRP, iron, some PVC, and ABS. It stands 161 centimeters (about 5 feet and 3 inches) tall with a width and depth of 65 centimeters (about 2 feet and 1.5 inches) including the display pedestal. The figure retails for a whopping 1,815,000 yen (about $16,649 US) including tax, assembly, and shipping costs.

 

Pre-orders are available until June 23, 2021 at the F:NEX website, with the final product scheduled to begin shipping in January of 2021.
