We're all finding new ways to work, play, and stay together for the time being. That includes SEATBELTS, the band that performed Yoko Kanno's jazzy Cowboy Bebop compositions. To lift your spirits this weekend, they've released a virtual performance of the show's most iconic tune.
Their new Session Starducks website and YouTube channel kicks off with, of course, "Tank!"—produced by Yoko Kanno and featuring performances by all the SEATBELTS members recorded from home:
This video is just the start of more to come. Session Starducks plans to host more virtual sessions, inviting viewers to participate. "Ducklings" will be invited to sing, play instruments, or whatever talent they may have that goes along with the song. In particular, they're hoping to attract a large group of participants outside Japan.
No projects are open yet, but with the premiere of the first video, we can likely expect a call for applications fairly soon.
