Tokyo Ghoul Creator's Jack Jeanne Delayed Until December in Japan

Jack Jeanne, the stunning otome game from the creator of Tokyo Ghoul, won't be out for a bit longer... but there are still pretty things to look at in the meantime!

The highly anticipated visual novel sees Tokyo Ghoul's Sui Ishida taking the lead with concept, scenario, and character designs. The player controls Kisa, a young woman whose only chance at achieving her dreams is to disguise herself as a boy and attend the boys' only Univers Opera School. Get to know the students in visual novel segments and ace the game's rhythm sections, and you might have a shot at starring in the school's end-of-year performance.

The game, which will be published by BROCCOLI Co., Ltd. (Uta no Prince Sama, Di Gi Charat) has been delayed until December 3, four months past its original intended release date of August 5. Game production has apparently been progressing apace, but the extra time was added to ensure fans receive the new game in its best possible form.

In the meantime, Ishida has taken to his Twitter to share a few of the 160 original illustrations we'll see in the game:

While nothing has been confirmed, the official Jack Jeanne Twitter account tweeted in English last year about "looking into [their] options" for a global release. In the meantime, otome game fans in Japan can look forward to the game's release this December for the Nintendo Switch.
