Mari Okada and Studio Colorido's Postponed 'A Whisker Away' Anime Film To Premiere on Netflix Worldwide
After A Whisker Away's, also known in Japan as Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu (I Want To Cry, So I'll Pretend to Be A Cat), theatrical release was postponed from June 8 due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, it was unknown when the Mari Okada (Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day) written, Studio Colorido (Pokémon: Twilight Wings) produced, and Junichi Sato (Sailor Moon) directed anime film would be released in Japanese theaters – or when Japanese theaters would ever re-open.

All that doesn't matter as it was announced on April 30 that the films planned theatrical release has been cancelled and A Whisker Away will instead be premiering directly on Netflix on June 18, worldwide. This will be one of the first times an anime film will premiere on Netflix the same day around the world.

It is not known at this time if A Whisker Away will come will both a dubbed and subbed release on Netflix.
