Maaya Sakamoto's Debut 25th-Anniversary Project to Include Single Collection Album

The official website for voice actress/singer Maaya Sakamoto is updated to announce the release of her new album "Single Collection +Achikochi" on July 15, 2020. This is part of her debut 25th-anniversary project.

Following her voice actress debut in 1988 when she was 8, she released her major debut single "Yakusoku wa Iranai" (The theme song for the TV anime The Vision of Escaflowne, in which she also voiced the protagonist girl Hitomi Kanzaki) from Victor Entertainment on April 24, 1996.

The two-disc album "Single Collection +Achikochi" will include all of her tie-up songs released after 2013, from her 22nd single song "Hajimari no Umi" (July 31, 2013 / TV anime Tamayura: More Aggressive OP) to the latest digital single "Clover" (April 3, 2020 / TV anime ARTE OP), as well as "cloud 9" and "Tell me what the rain knows" (composed by Yoko Kanno) that were included only in the soundtrack album for the TV anime WOLF'S RAIN, cover versions of Yumi Matsutouya's "Sotsugyo Shashin" and DREAMS COME TRUE's "Mikazuki," and a self-cover version of "Watashi he" that she provided its lyrics to idol unit Negicco.

The bonus Blu-ray for the album's first press limited edition will include her latest ten music videos, the "Sakamoto Maaya Open Air Museum 2017" concert held in June 2017, and the live-viewing footage of the "Inu Fes!" event in February 2019.

Also, MUSIC MAGAZINE's extra issue "Sakamoto Maaya In MUSIC MAGAZINE" is scheduled to be released on the same day as the album, July 16. The special issue features the latest articles about her and her albums from the magazine and a new interview with her.
