Japan Box office: PSYCHO-PASS 3 FIRST INSPECTOR Debut at #8

The feature film PSYCHO-PASS 3 FIRST INSPECTOR to conclude the TV anime third season's story was released in 35 theaters in Japan on March 27 for a limited run of two weeks. It was the only new anime film released in the weekend of March 27-29. Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel - III. Spring Song, which was originally scheduled to be released on March 28, has been delayed to April 25 due to COVID-19 concerns.

Despite its small number of screens, the 135-minute film ranked eighth in its first-weekend box office ranking. Its current total gross has not yet been revealed.

Meanwhile, the official Twitter for the live-action film adaptation of Fujita's love comedy manga series Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii / Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku announced on March 24 that it had finally sold one million tickets in Japan. The Yuichi Fukuda (Gintama live-action series)-directed comedy has earned an impressive 1.31 billion yen from its eight-week domestic run.
