i☆Ris Member Yuuki Wakai Reprises Her Role as Mai Tadakusa in Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki Stage Play

 

 

The fun will continue even after its TV anime second season ended. It has been confirmed that a stage play adaptation of Masaki Ando's four-panel comedy manga Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki is scheduled to be performed at Telepia Hall in Nagoya city, the manga and anime's main location, from July 19 to 22, 2020. 4,500-yen ticket will go on sale in late May.

 

The protagonist Monaka Yatogame is played in a double cast by Honoka Akimoto and Nao Sakura, two members of the Nagoya-based idol group TEAM SHACHI. Yuuki Wakai, a member of the voice actress idol group i☆Ris who voiced Mai Tadakusa in the anime series, will reprise her role in the stage play as well. The Nagoya-based idol group SKE48 member Negai Fukai is cast as Yanna Sasatsu, and the boys idol group BOYS AND MEN's research student in Nagoya, Rui Furukawa plays Kaito Jin.

 

 

  

Yuuki Wakai writes on Twitter, "What a surprise! I am so happy!!! To be exactly the same as the anime, I want to enjoy it with all my mind and body as one. I'm looking forward to the practice because it's still early."

 

 

 


  

The TV anime adaptation was aired for two seasons for a total of 24 episodes in Japan from April to June 2019 and from January to March 2020. All the episodes are available on Crunchyroll to its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East.  

 

Synopsis:

 

After growing up in Tokyo, high school student Jin Kaito moves to Nagoya where he meets Yatogame Monaka, a fellow student who puts her Nagoya dialect on full display. With her cat-like appearance and unvarnished Nagoya dialect, Yatogame won't open up to him at all. This popular local comedy is increasing the status of Nagoya through observation of the adorable Yatogame-chan!
