Hellboy creator Mike Mignola has been sharing sketches with his Twitter fans, from dapper Cthulhu to skeletal cowboys. His most recent round of sketches, though, will be very familiar to Ultraman fans!
Mignola kicked off the new theme yesterday, with a picture of the guy himself. He notes he hasn't watched the show in recent years, but is fascinated with the character designs:

Okay, I really know nothing about Ulraman. I maybe saw the show once or twice as a kid. The real appeal here is the goofy looking monsters--All of which I only know as toys, back in the day, on the shelves in Art Adam's apartment. Monster drawings coming tomorrow-- pic.twitter.com/uEHrvmXzQk
Contrary to the "tomorrow" promise, he started tackling the monsters almost immediately. Here's a couple more from the bunch—you can see the rest on his Twitter feed:

Mignola mentioned on his feed that he's having a lot of fun doing these little sketches—and on this day in particular, Ultraman fans were more than happy to assist in helping him identify the various monsters he drew. It's worth giving him a follow and sticking around, both to peruse his new work and for previews of his new series with Christopher Golden, Lady Baltimore.
