Crunchyroll Games Announces Pre-Registration Campaign Launch For Mass For The Dead

March 31st, 2020Crunchyroll Games has announced the pre-registration campaign for its newest game, Mass for the Dead, a new dark fantasy mobile RPG based on the popular dark fantasy isekai anime Overlord. This game will feature turn-based command battles, capture quests, competitions alongside friends, as well as double speed and auto-mode capabilities to battle against enemies throughout the game.

 

Based on the very popular dark fantasy isekai anime Overlord, the Mass for the Dead mobile RPG arrives in the West just as the game reaches its one-year anniversary in Japan! Crunchyroll Games will globally launch the popular game in Spring 2020, co-produced by Sumitomo and Exys in Japan.

 

Overlord is a dark fantasy isekai light novel written by author Kugane Maruyama. In the Spring of 2010, the original web novel gained mainstream popularity and was officially published by KADOKAWA’s Enterbrain light novel label beginning in July 2012. The book has since sold in excess of 7.6 million copies across multiple volumes. The first season of the TV anime was broadcast in 2015 and has continued to the most recent Season 3 in 2018.



Mass for the Dead Synopsis

Once a huge hit, the popular Massively Multiplayer Online-Roleplaying Game, «Yggdrasil» was quietly coming to an end after a 12 year run. However, even after the servers had been shut down, the player was not completely logged out of the game. In front of the collapsed Nazarik Underground Tomb was player Momonga, one of the strongest magicians in the form of a Skeleton…and all the guardians in the game have died. Take on the adventure along with Momonga in this Dark Fantasy Isekai RPG!

Starting today, players can pre-register for the game directly via the game’s official pre-registration website. Players who pre-register will receive rewards when they install the game, with the number of the game’s Chaotic Stones increasing for every player registration, up to a maximum of 1,000 stones per player.
