12 Finalists for The 2nd "KimiKoe" Voice Actor Audition Announced

Tohoku Shinsha announced the 12 finalists for its second "KimiKoe Audition" (Your Voice Audition) on November 29. The open audition to find new voice actors who can work in various fields (voice acting, stage play, films, etc.) has been held since August, and the 12 were chosen from about 1,200 participants after the two preliminary judging sessions.

The first "KimiKoe Audition" was held in 2016, and its six winners, who were chosen from 3,000 participants,

made their voice actress debut in Madhouse's anime feature film Kimi no Koe wo Todoketai/Your Voice -KIMIKOE-

released in Japan August 2017, and has formed voice actress idol unit NOW ON AIR, releasing three singles

so far. 

  

As with the first, the winners of the second audition are guaranteed to make voice actor debut in a new TV

anime produced by Tohoku Shinsha and Liden Films as its main characters. I addition, they will be also able

to make contract with voice actor agency Office PAC, appear in the programs produced by Tohoku Shinsha

(including Japanese dub works), and take lessons at Visual Techono Academia for free for one year.

 

The third judging session including lessons has already begun since November 24, and is scheduled to end

on December 23. The audition's official website will start offering the 12 finalists' voice samples from

December 4. From that day, you can vote for your favorite finalist once per day. The site welcomes online

voting from abroad as well. The number of the vote for each finalist will be added in the final judgment.

 

The online voting will be accepted from 12:00 on December 4, 2018, to 18:00 on January 24, 2019 (JST),

then the final judgement will be held in the end of January 2019.
