The new cast members include:

  • Gordon Maeda (pictured below, left) as Issei Kataoka, a 17 year old high school student who decides to toy with Hayame Katsuragi in a "real life game".
  • Takanori Iwata (pictured below, right) as Seigo Kataoka, Issei's more responsible elder brother who works as the vice-chairman of the family's long established, high class Japanese-style inn.

Fumi Nikaido (pictured below, center) was previously announced in the leading role of Hayame Katsuragi.

The story of Promise Cinderella follows Hayame Katsuragi, a housewife who leads a calm and peaceful life until her husband divorces her and kicks her to the curb. After she loses her last meager savings to a pickpocket, Hayame is left destitute and homeless until she runs into a spoiled, rich high school boy named Issei who offers to be her "prince charming" if Hayame is willing to accept his cruel wager.

The live-action Promise Cinderella TV drama will broadcast on Tokyo Broadcasting System on Tuesdays during the 22:00 time slot (10:00pm JST) beginning in July of 2021. Each episode will be approximately 1 hour in length.
