UPDATE: The anime adaptation will air in 2022, author's celebratory art added.
Following the story of third-year soccer player Aoi Ashito—who has immense potential but deals with his own unique setbacks—Yugo Kobayashi's Aoashi manga has been running in the pages of Big Comic Spirits magazine since 2015. Now the award-winning series is getting its own TV anime, with the series set to kick off sometime in 2022.
24 volumes have been collected so far, with over 7.5 million copies in circulation.
