It’s time to tune your voice because there’s a new Love Live! TV anime coming and they’re holding open auditions for a lead character for a new TV anime series! A School Voting Project – much like the ones in the past for new groups – will be happening in the next Love Live! Days issue.
On January 19, we reported that at the 9th anniversary event in Saitama a new Love Live! series project, seemingly separate from the Love Live! Nijigasaki Academy School Idol Club TV anime that was announced in December, was teased. At the time there were no more details on the series, until now.
The above key visual shows Omotesando Avenue in Harajuku, facing away from Meiji Shrine. This is in contrast to the Nijigasaki Academy School Idol Club main visual which was set in Odaiba.
The text reads “The story that grants me life."
Alongside the main announcement, a new website opened up informing fans that an open audition will be held for one voice in the new TV anime project. The staff wants a woman between the ages of 15 and 22 who live in Japan (or can move to Tokyo with ease), no ties to an entertainment company already, and are unmarried. The recruitment starts on March 12 with more information coming on that date.
The original Love Live! School Idol Project TV anime aired two seasons from January 6, 2013, to June 29, 2014, which is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, as is the follow-up series, Love Live! Sunshine!!, which aired from July 2, 2016, to December 30, 2017.
