LiSA's Kimetsu no Yaiba Song Dominates Billboard Japan's Anime Charts Again Six Months after Its Release
According to Billboard Japan's latest anime song charts "JAPAN Hot Animation" for the week of January 20-26, LiSA's 15th single song "Gurenge," the OP theme for the TV anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, has dominated its No.1 spot for four consecutive weeks. It has been more than six months since the song's CD release in Japan, but its massive popularity has no sign of slowing down.
The song still ranked No.1 on the anime charts' "download," "streaming," and "karaoke" rankings, while second on "Radio On-air," fifth on "Twitter," fourth on "Video Views," and tenth on "CD sales." Though its CD was released on July 3, 2019, it still sold 2,500 copies in the most recent week.
The digital edition of the song was already certificated "double platinum" (more than 500,000 downloads) by The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) in December 2019.
