Tai is just so hungry for some sweet Digi-snacks
It’s time to Digi-eat some Digi-food at the upcoming Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna Meeting Cafe. Announced on January 28, the cafe will be held at Ani ON STATION’s in Akihabara, Tokyo, and Namba, Osaka from February 7 to April 5. A key visual for the cafe was released showing the Last Evolution Kizuna anime film versions of the original Digimon Adventure cast in an updated version of the original key art for the series.
For the first half of the cafe’s operation, until March 5, the menu for the cafe will be based on the original DigiDestined sans T.K., with food, drink, and goods referencing the gang in the upcoming film and scenes from the original anime series.
With every drink purchased, you’ll be able to use the COCOAR2 smartphone app to bring the character illustration to life. You’ll also get your own cute Digi-Vice that you’ve been coveting since you were a child. Don’t lie to yourself, you know it’s true.
Upon entry to the cafe, you’ll be given a request ticket to use with the Jukebox in the cafe to choose a song from the series. The above tickets are given out at random and feature a scene from the original anime series. If you go to the cafe after the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna anime film opens in cinemas on February 21 with a ticket stub from the film, you’ll receive an extra request ticket for those sweet Digi-tunes.
Goods are also on sale featuring the original DigiDestined in the above visual. These include magnet badges, photo albums, acrylic stands, and Digi-vice type acrylic key chains.
From March 6, a new menu and goods will start at the cafe featuring the DigiDestined from Digimon Adventure 02. More information on that will be released closer to the date.
In the first three days, the cafe will only accept pre-reservations, but from February 10, you can freely go to the cafe without a booking. It opens from February 7 and runs until April 5. Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna opens in cinemas in Japan on February 21 with a North American release on March 25.
