Love Is in the Air with Anime Valentine's Day Music Video

 

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and chocolate maker Lotte is on point with a sweet seasonal treat for anime fans!

 

The confectionery company has teamed up with singer/songwriter Eve to create a new music video featuring his new song "Kokoro Yoho" ("Heart Forecast"). The upbeat vid followers three friends as they prepare to confess to their respective crushes on Valentine's Day—using Ghana Chocolate, a line manufactured by Lotte in Japan.

 

 

The tune is the theme song of Ghana's 2020 Valentine's Day campaign, dubbed "Pink Valentine," and they've brought in a lot of solid talent to make the new video happen. Atsushi Saito (BLACKFOX) supplies the character design, with Genki Kawamura (your name., Weathering with You) in charce of Planning and Nobutaka Yoda (OPs for Dr. STONE and IRODUKU: The World in Colors) directing. Jun Tamukai (music video director for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu) handles visual design, and Wakana Okamura (My Hero Academia) and Shunsuke Hosoi (HANEBADO!) produced the animation. 

 

 

The "Kokoro Yoho" single is now available for download and streaming in Japan. Eve's new album, Smile, goes on sale February 12.
