New Super Mario Bros. Movie TV Ad Unveils Cat Mario, Seth Rogen As Donkey Kong

 

Nintendo and Illumination saw fit to use the National Football League's NFC Championship game on Sunday afternoon to release a new TV ad for the forthcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie which reveals one of Mario's contemporary power-ups in the Cat Mario costume as well as officially revealing the voice work of Seth Rogen, who will play Donkey Kong in the movie. The ad is embedded below:

 

 

The cast list includes Chris Pratt as the titular plumber and one-half of the Mario Bros. with Jack Black as Bowser, and Charlie Day as Luigi. The rest of the cast is rounded out with Anya-Taylor Joy as Princess Peach, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike. The film is slated to be released on April 7, 2023 in the US and April 28, 2023 in Japan.
