A TV anime adaptation has been announced for Blue Archive, a smart phone RPG developed for Android and iOS by Nexon Games. A teaser visual (below) and an official website have been published for the adaptation, which is entitled Blue Archive The Animation. No further details (such as the cast, the staff, and the release date) have yet been revealed.

A teaser visual for the upcoming Blue Archive The Animation TV anime featuring the character of Alona hanging out in a bombed out classroom overlooking the sea. One of the exterior walls is completely destroyed, providing a view of the ocean and a large mass of cumulus clouds. Alona seems unconcerned by her settings, and she is carrying a parasol that doubles as a rifle. A few inches of sea water cover the floor.

A free-to-play game with in-app purchases, the setting of Blue Archive is described as follows:

The city's academies are divided into their own districts and are considered mostly independent.

The General Student Council acts as governing board to manage the academies as a whole.
However, the group's ability to govern has come to halt since the mysterious disappearance of the
General Student Council president. Countless issues have begun to surface throughout Kivotos in the
absence of the president's leadership.

To avoid disaster, the General Student Council requests assistance from the Federal Investigation
Club, otherwise known as Schale. In fact, Schale is the city's newest club and the last to be approved
before the president's disappearance.

To accomplish its task, Schale relies on the guidance of a Sensei who can help them resolve the incidents
around Kivotos. (Students are required to carry personal weapons and smart phones! Get a taste of the military action,
love, and friendship the Academy City has to offer!)
