Platinum's Hideki Kamiya Concludes Superhero Trilogy with Project G.G.

Project G.G.

Ever since PlatinumGames teased a slew of announcements, we've been waiting to see what new projects we can look forward to. A big one was revealed today with the announcement of Project G.G., an "all-new, all-original" project from PlatinumGames that has director Hideki Kamiya (Bayonetta, Viewtiful Joe, Okami, Wonderful 101) concluding his superhero trilogy.

As Kamiya explains in his message on the official site, Project G.G. is a working title. Platinum is in full control of everything this time around, from the setting and characters to game design, story, promotion, and beyond. Kamiya even mentions job openings for those interested in helping Platinum on this bold new endeavor.

For now, let's take a look at what appears to be a very PlatinumGames spin on kaiju battles and tokusatsu heroes like Ultraman in the teaser below.

We'll have to wait to see what Project G.G. ends up becoming as development progresses.
