In commemoration of its fifth anniversary, the KING OF PRISM franchise will release "KING OF PRISM ALL SERIES Blu-ray Disc 'Dream Goes On!'" and "KING OF PRISM BEST ALBUM 'Music Goes On!'" on January 8, 2021.
The male idol-featured franchise was originally launched in January 2016 as a spin-off to the 2013-2014 TV anime Pretty Rhythm: RainbowLive, the third installment of the Pretty series co-produced by Tatsunoko Production and Dong Woo Animation. Its first film KING OF PRISM by Pretty Rhythm was released in January 2016, and its sequel KING OF PRISM: Pride the Hero followed in June 2017. Then, its third installment KING OF PRISM: Shiny Seven Stars was screened in four chapters from March to May 2019, and its 12-episode TV series edition was also aired from April to July 2019.
"KING OF PRISM ALL SERIES Blu-ray Disc 'Dream Goes On!'" will include the first two films - KING OF PRISM by Pretty Rhythm (60 minutes) and KING OF PRISM: Pride the Hero (70 minutes), and the four-chapter theatrical edition of KING OF PRISM: Shiny Seven Stars (280 minutes in total) in one disc.
Meanwhile, "KING OF PRISM BEST ALBUM 'Music Goes On!'" will contain more than 100 character songs performed by the KING OF PRISM characters for the films and the SNS games, as well as never-been-released songs, such as "'H'EART of 'K'ING!!" and "Want To Touch." Also, its bonus CD feature live recordings of the franchise's largest concert event "KING OF PRISM SUPER LIVE Shiny Seven Stars!" held at Makuhari Messe on February 2, 2020.
