During the 'EDENS ZERO Video Game & Anime Information Announcement' stream today during Tokyo Game Show, it was announced that the TV anime for EDEN ZERO, from Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima, would start from April 2021. The first visual was released for the TV anime series alongside a teaser trailer for the already announced video game.

Returning from the Fairy Tail anime is director Shinji Ishihira as the general director of EDENS ZERO alongside Yushi Suzuki (episode director on Fairy Tail) as the director of the series, Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-a-Girlfriend) writing the screenplay and series composition, and Yurika Sako (Lostorage conflated WIXOSS animation director) drawing the character designs. The series will be produced at J.C. Staff.
Rie Kugimiya returns to voice Happy from Fairy Tail, this time as a robot. Joining her is Takuma Terashima (Lay Glanzudlii in The Misfit of Demon King Academy) voicing the main hero Shiki Granbell, and Mikako Komatsu (Minerva in Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-) voicing Rebecca Bluegarden, the heroine of the series and companion to Happy.

The TV anime was previously announced back in June from the manga creator himself, with more details to be announced later. EDENS ZERO will be broadcast on Nippon TV from April 2021.
